SDMC Property Tax stands for South Delhi Municipal
Corporation. Before we discuss SDMC property tax, let's understand what is
property tax.
Property tax is also known as municipal tax. It is assessed,
levied, and collected from the property owner by the municipal authority. The tax is
collected for the maintenance of footpaths, roads, sewage systems, parks, garbage

The government of Delhi has given the total responsibility
and authority to collect property tax of South Delhi to SDMC. The SDMC property
tax is imposed on commercial and residential properties.
SDMC recently proposed raising the property tax, while also
plans to change the category according to the imposition of the tax.

According to officials, the tax rate has not been adjusted
in the past ten years. The SDMC will also focus on attracting more people under
its scope, to improve revenue stream.
But for now, the property is divided into 3 categories: A and B
will have to pay 12% tax, C, D, and E will pay 11% tax, 3rd category
F, G, and H will pay 7% tax. The SDMC also offer 1% education cess of annual
value, as well as prompt rebate 15% of tax paid within financial year.
Generally, the last date to pay SDMC property tax is 31st
march every year. Taxpayers can pay their tax anytime within the financial year.
How To Pay SDMC Property Tax?
If a taxpayer belongs to south Delhi, then he/she has to pay
taxes to SDMC. Property owners will pay tax on land and property. Taxpayer of
South Delhi can pay property tax online or offline.

Offline Mode:
If you want to pay property tax offline, then visit ITZ
cash counters in south Delhi. You can
pay in different modes like cash, card, cheque, etc. You can also visit the nearest
bank but only Delhi and NCR branches. Also, for making the payment, taxpayers
can visit Customer Service Bureau Centres.
How To Pay SDMC Property Tax Online?
Taxpayers can also pay their property tax online from the comfort
of sitting at home.
You can do the online payment through the website and also
through the mobile application.
How to Pay Through Website?
Step 1: Visit the official website of SDMC by clicking on https://mcdonline.nic.in/sdmcportal/.
Step 2: Click on the sign-up button. Now, enter either of
the property ID for tax paid in any year and click on submit button.
Step 3: Fill the form by entering details and click on
submit button.
Step 3: Next, log in to the website using the above-given link.
Step 4: Select the property then click on pay tax. Thereafter,
collect the receipt in PDF form.

tax. These steps are very simple and easy to follow.
How To Pay Through Application?
South Delhi Municipal Corporation recently launched a mobile
application for paying property tax online.
Note: This application is launched for all three-municipal
corporations.

application.

Check the details, process, and install the
application
You can pay the property tax through this application. All
you need to do is install the application, create an account and follow the instructions
